Multimedia Services
We can take just about any media (audio tapes & CDs, DVD, VHS, etc.) and turn it into something that can be played on the web. We can do:
- Digital video optimization for web compatible media
- Analog video transfer to digital video and optimization for web playback
- Digital audio optimization to web compatible media
- Analog audio transfer to digital audio and optimized for web playback
Video
Formats:
- Source Formats: DV tape, VHS tape, uncompressed QuickTime or AVI, recommend against DVDs & VCDs/SVCDs
- Web Output Formats: QuickTime, RealMedia, WindowsMedia, highly recommend Macromedia Flash format for cross-platform compatibility
General Recommendations:
- We strongly suggest videos intended for the web to be no longer than 5 minutes to keep size files down and web playback optimal
- We also recommend that the original source of video footage to be provided, as the highest quality of footage we receive will ensure the highest possible quality to be displayed on the web (ex. a DV tape version will result in higher quality than a VHS tape)
Audio
Formats:
- Source Formats: CD, Cassete Tape, MP3 player, Wave file, uncompressed QuickTime file
- Web Output Formats: Quicktime, RealMedia, WindowsMedia, highly recommend Macromedia Flash format for cross-platform compatibility
General Recommendations:
- We recommend the highest quality in the source media that is provided to ensure high quality playback on the web
